Volunteer: In our office we need help:
We need people who can donate in-kind items such as:
We welcome help in monitoring anti-Israel events and distributing literature at both pro-Israel and anti-Israel events at universities, libraries, community centers and elsewhere.
We can always use people who can monitor the media, especially local newspapers, from their homes and give us regular reports of what they find. We also welcome those who wish write letters to media to thank them for the occasional balanced articles they publish or admonish them for the more frequent, unbalanced, anti-Israel reports.
We are also looking for people to report on textbooks used in suburban and charter schools and how they portray and teach events in the Middle East and Israel.
We need people to post flyers about ZOA in places of business and on Web sites. We also need people who can speak and write in Russian and Hebrew who can help us reach out to the many area residents from Israel and the former Soviet Union.
We need people with experience in grant-writing or fundraising who can help strengthen our organization to enable us to do even more.
We need people to help spread the word about the great and important work ZOA does. Though we have been around for more than 100 years, we seem to be the area’s best-kept secret. The more members that we have, the stronger our voice to champion the cause of Israel’s right to live in peace and security.
As a grassroots organization with just one paid staffer, we rely on our volunteers to help us help Israel in the Philadelphia area. We are the only area group dedicated solely to education and advocacy for Israel and the crucial U.S.-Israel relationship. You know what a crucial time this is for Israel. You know the many adversaries Israel has who try to tar its reputation as a humanitarian society in this country to erode American support. Now more than ever, please help us.
You can reach us to volunteer via email, or by phone at 215-338-9188.
